Your primary focus will be helping to establish a best-in-class Procurement Operations team at Alexion.

The role will be responsible for managing the Procurement process and on-going operations including developing processes, procedures and tools to support Alexions daily Procurement operational activities, supplier qualification, ensuring compliance, establishing effective partnerships with internal business stakeholders, and developing and coaching an all-star team.

Job Duties & Responsibilities Capability Development & Execution Establish and lead a best-in-class P2P Operation team responsible for driving compliance to standard processes and polices, monitoring company-wide procurement performance, and other support services for the Global Strategic Sourcing Team.

Draw on best practices to develop and implement tools, templates, systems and standardized procedures in support of a rapidly growing company.

Manage supplier qualification and onboarding ensuring timely decisions related to identified risks.

Effectively work with functional and business groups to support customer satisfaction through implementation activities and effective customer feedback initiatives.

Create and maintain dashboards and other visualization tools to monitor performance against key performance indicators.

Liaise with Finance and Internal Audit to establish process checks.

Drive companywide compliance of procurement and sourcing processes and policies.

Lead user training and updates for ordering processes and tools.

Assist with the development and execution of PO processes that enforce policies and contract terms.

Maintain a pulse on market trends, benchmarks, best practices, developments, and compliance requirements that could impact policies and procedures.

Propose innovative ideas, concepts and approaches that can benefit the organization as whole.

Responsible for managing, coaching and developing direct reports by identifying training and/or development opportunities as well as setting and monitoring annual performance goals and objectives.

Leverage a continuous improvement mindset that matures and optimizes service delivery.

Strong focus on partnership, support and customer service.

Oversee projects on ad-hoc basis to further Alexions Global Strategic Sourcing and Procurement needs.

Business Partnership Identify and develop business relationships with key stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications 10 years of experience with procurement operations, procurement consulting or business systems/operations ideally in a global cGXP life sciences environment.

or equivalent professional certification preferred.

Expert in Procure to Pay tools (e.g.

Coupa, Ariba), ERP, eProcurement and Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency in analytics and data visualization software (Excel, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.) Champions best practice processes and tools.

Commitment to provide quality procurement products and customer service.

Applies broad and comprehensive understaind of different systems, theories and practices.

Strong supplier management acumen, decisive decision making and problem solving capabilities.
