Job Description

The Assistant Director of the NA Concentration shall work under the leadership of the NA Director and assume responsibilities, as designated, for the management of NA as it contributes to the attainment of the mission of the University and Nursing. The Assistant Director of Nurse Anesthesia and/or Director of Nurse Anesthesia will teach all Nurse Anesthesia specific courses. The Assistant Director of Nurse Anesthesia is a Full-time Faculty Position.

Required Qualifications

Doctoral degree required; *professional preparation/credentials by a recognized credentialing body in NA specialty required; and *evidence of effective teaching and scholarly activities.

Campus Harrogate Job Duty: promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students, and to the community at large;

Job Duty: promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff, and students;

Job Duty: participate on university committees;

Job Duty: complete required institutional, program accreditation, and other reports necessary for the advancement of University programs, both on campus and at extended campus sites;

Job Duty: responsible for day-to-day operations of NA as designated, and in the absence of the NA Director;

Job Duty: grant writing and outcomes assessment/accreditation report responsibilities for NA as assigned;

Job Duty: assist with planning, scheduling, and management of NA courses in accordance with the curriculum plan;

Job Duty: assist the NA Director in determination of faculty/clinical supervisors needs, and their respective teaching assignments, each semester;

Job Duty: coordinate clinical facilities for student learning experiences/practicum, including obtaining letters of agreement with agencies, for NA as designated;

Job Duty: assist the NA Director with faculty/staff evaluations;

Job Duty: assist with registration/orientation for NA students;

Job Duty: notify NA Director of all Unusual Occurrence Reports;

Job Duty: assist with compliance of ADA, HIPPA, and FERPA for NA;

Job Duty: assist with development of, and/or changes to the catalog, student handbook, and all related publications;

Job Duty: provide budget recommendations to the NA Director;

Job Duty: teaching and scholarly responsibilities; and

Job Duty: other duties as assigned.
