– End date is subject to change Connect 700 Program Eligible : No Job Summary Job Summary The Department of Human Services has immediate needs for temporary Chemical Dependency Progarm Assistants for our Willmar Community Addiction Recovery Enterprise (CARE) program.

This announcement will be used to fill multiple full-time, part-time, or intermediate temporary vacancies.

Shifts may be day, rotating (day/evening), or overnight.

The Community Addiction Recovery Enterprise (CARE) in Willmar is seeking a dedicated Chemical Dependency Program Assistants (CDPA) to join our team and make a great difference in the lives of others.

CARE Willmar provides inpatient and services and specializes in the delivery of integrated dual-diagnosis treatment for substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders.

All services are person-centered, building on the individual’s interests and capacity for growth, leading to a lifelong process of recovery.

Qualified applicants can start immediately As a Chemical Dependency Program Assistant (CDPA), you will assist in the delivery of treatment programs, coordinate documentation, and maintain all aspects of the counseling office, including training, equipment, supplies, and filing systems.

Job duties include: Provide services to Community Addiction Recovery Enterprise clients consistent with procedures and standards.

Design, develop and ensure implementation of a variety of programming to aid in the development of the client’s growth and recovery.

Lead groups of clients examining issues related to chemical dependency and daily living skills so that obstacles to treatment progress are identified and overcome.

Document and verbally report so that accurate records are kept and continuum of care is provided.

Complete intake process to ensure that the clients are admitted promptly, courteously and efficiently.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Please ensure that your resume clearly identifies your knowledge/ability in the areas listed below.

To qualify, applicants must have all of the following: Knowledge of standard psychological tests sufficient to administer and score them for interpretation by professional staff.

Knowledge of Alcoholics Anonymous principles sufficient to orient new clients to the program.

Knowledge of treatment processes sufficient to read and assist with the implementation of individual treatment plans, explain program objectives to clients and facilitate group discussions.

Ability to lead recreational activities for clients.

Ability to read and write English sufficient to record client history and document client physical and behavioral information on medical charts.

Applicants must also: Be at least 18 years of age.

Maintain a valid driver’s license.

Sign a statement attesting that you have been free of chemical use problems for at least one year immediately preceding hire.
