CARE Willmar provides inpatient substance use treatment services for adults.

Don’t miss this excellent opportunity to be part of a great team This Licnesed Alcohol Drug Counselor position provides advanced level independent counseling and case management for clients with substance use and co-occuring mental health disorders.

Job Duties Include: Assess clients biopsychosocial needs and develop an individualized treatment plan to address all issues identified.

Perform case management for assigned progarm participants.

Provide substance abuse counseling/treatment and education to individuals with substance use and/or co-occurring mood, thought or other mental health disorders.

Develop, prepare, and provide didactic and interactive education to assist clients, their families, and concerned persons in understanding the disease of addiction and other co-occurring mood, thought or personality disorders.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications To qualify, applicants must: Have a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, social work, behavior analysis, or related field; AND Be licensed or eligible for licensure by the State of Minnesota as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor; AND Have three (3) years of post-Bachelor’s degree experience providing clinical services.

OR Have a Master Degree in psychology, social work, behavior analysis, or related behavioral or social science program; AND Be licensed or eligible for licensure by the State of Minnesota as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor; AND Have one (1) year of post-Master’s degree experience providing clinical services including individual and group therapy and interventions Per MN Statutes, all applicants must also: Be at least 18 years old, AND Be able to pass a criminal background check, AND Sign a statement attesting that you have been free of chemical use problems for at least two years immediately preceding hire.
