Clinical Supervisor, Bone Marrow Transplant

This is a Contract position in Atlanta, GA posted July 18, 2020.

Position Description The Clinical Supervisor provides direct patient care and supervises the nursing operations of of the 56 bed Bone Marrow Transplant unit.

In the absence of the Manager or Director may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility.

Works with a unit specific patient population.

The Blood and Marrow Transplant (BMT) Program at Northside Hospital Cancer Institute (NHCI) is one of the largest and most comprehensive programs of its kind in the Southeast and has among the best survival rates in the nation for bone marrow transplants.

Northside Hospital s BMT Program is committed to providing clinical excellence and compassionate care for patients undergoing blood marrow and stem cell transplantation.

In 2018, Northside Hospital had among the best survival outcomes in United States for the tenth consecutive year (2009-18), per data released by Be The Match and the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research 1 .

NHCI is also one of only two centers in the country (out of 177) and the only center in the Southeast to maintain outcomes in the above expected range for ten or more consecutive reporting years.

Position Requirements REQUIRED: 1.

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with one (1) year of nursing experience in Oncology OR Critical Care.


Associates Degree with three (3) years clinical experience OR Bachelor s in Nursing with Two (2) years clinical experience.


Demonstrated ability to set priorities and make appropriate clinical and supervisory decisions.

Must possess good problem solving skills.


Demonstrated leadership capabilities.


Certified in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).


Other certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP may be required based on department needs.
