Director, Healthcare Ethics and Compliance

Minimum qualifications

15 years of healthcare compliance and risk management experience.

Experience designing and implementing a healthcare compliance program in a medical device company or healthcare consulting environment.

Experience with the global framework affecting the healthcare industry (e.g., international laws governing healthcare, interactions with healthcare professionals, institutions and government officials, antitrust and competition issues).

Preferred qualifications

JD from an accredited law school.

Experience with healthcare compliance at a public company.

Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, meet deadlines, and develop process efficiencies.

Ability to collaborate and work effectively with others in addressing complex issues.

Ability to lead change efforts through effective communication and persuasion

Excellent leadership, project management, and time management skills.

As the Ethics and Healthcare Compliance Officer for the Company Health Product Area, you will help develop, manage, and implement the healthcare compliance program to ensure we are following the policies, guidelines and the laws and regulations that apply to our innovative healthcare projects. In this role, you will lead an enterprise-wide culture of compliance and provide effective guidance and efficient systems to employees and internal business units.

Responsibilities

Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of a healthcare compliance and ethics program, which includes policies and procedures, risk assessments, auditing and monitoring, internal investigations, and training related to healthcare ethics and compliance, the company’s policies, and the law.

Provide strategic direction and counsel to the executive leadership team on compliance and ethical posture of the business.

Work collaboratively with Alphabet and Company Ethics and Compliance team to ensure alignment and communicate regular progress.

Partner effectively with Clinical, Legal, People Operations, Finance, and other departments to ensure the compliance program is effective and conduct corrective action as needed.

Drive awareness regarding the importance of compliance and provide guidance to Product, Research, and Engineering teams to translate compliance requirements into product development. Interface with internal business units, external partners, and regulators on compliance matters.
