Experienced Vascular Physician Assistant

This is a Contract position in Charlotte, NC posted June 16, 2020.

Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute�s� Vein Center �is seeking a� part-time, predominately Outpatient, Vascular� PA �to provide quality care to the patients we serve in the Charlotte community.

This Physician Assistant (PA) will be part of an established team of specialized Vascular Physicians and PAs.� This role will be an integral component of a high functioning team providing highly specialized vascular care focusing on venous disease.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the initial evaluations, pre and post procedural care.

Predominately in the office setting the successful candidate will assist physician with in-office procedures.

Will perform a small amount of in-patient post procedural discharges.

�Additional duties include participation in vein center accreditation processes.

The tentative work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 1st shift hours, two days per week.

No call, no weekends.

This position is eligible for the annual Performance Incentive Bonus and CME allowance.

Teaching opportunities with students and/or APP Fellows are also available, but not required for the position.

Vascular experience preferred, but not required.

Qualifications: Must have or be eligible for a DEA license.

Approved to practice as a Physician Assistant in the state one works.

Eligible for prescriptive authority application through the Board of Nursing or Medical Board in NC required.

BLS for Healthcare Provider from AHA required with expiration date greater than 90 days from date of beginning practice.

Demonstrates appropriate critical thinking, interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritize and make proactive decisions.� Three years of relative experience and/or surgical background preferred.

Physician Assistant �� Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program required; Master�s Degree preferred.

Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred.
