About This Opportunity

St. Luke’s Medical Clinic is seeking a full-time family physician to join their already established family physician. This is a full scope cradle to grave practice where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to build their practice.


This efficiently run clinic uses a the Nightingale electronic medical record (EMR) system and exam rooms are spacious with flexible scheduling. There are no after-hours call. 


  • deliver comprehensive primary health care services to practice patients of all ages and stages of health or illness
  • work with other providers in the clinic to provide cross coverage and same day access Monday to Friday
  • work with other providers in the clinic to provide a plan for weekend availability and after-hours access and emergency coverage
  • participate in quality improvement and evaluation activities either developed in practice or as lead by Nova Scotia Health Authority or others
  • utilize an electronic medical record (EMR) and record all relevant patient details in a provincially approved EMR which is common and accessible to all collaborating team members

Expected Hours

  • permanent, full-time
  • no evening or weekend call


  • all applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
  • all family physicians must be eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
  • membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
