The position of Aboriginal Community Wellness Program Coordinator plays a critical role in Fraser Healths continued dedication to support indigenous perspectives, knowledge, and approach to wellness.

You will take an active part in the Aboriginal community by enhancing the overall health of the community by supporting the delivery of health and wellness programs targeted to various age groups in the community.Position HighlightsIn this role, you will coordinate the operations of community health based programs addressing the wellness needs of various community groups which includes organizing evening/weekend activities and after school programs, supporting community members and leading community health events.Your specific duties will include:Coordinating the operations of Aboriginal Community Wellness Program that addresses the wellness needs of various age groups, including Children/Youth, Adult and Elders.Planning and implementing a variety of program activities as well as providing input into the program policies and procedures.Organizing the implementation of quality improvement initiatives including reviewing and recommending process changes for workflow, policy and process and staffing levels.Assessing the impact of changes on community members, staff, and other stakeholders.Preparing statistical analysis and report for decision-making including funding levels for staff and operational program.Qualifications for Aboriginal Community Wellness Program Coordinator role:Diploma in Community Social Service or related field.Three years of recent, related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.Current BC Drivers Licence and access to a vehicle for business related purposes.An equivalent combination of education, training and experience is acceptable.This is a regular full time position located at Tri-Cities Kwikwetlem First Nation.Fraser Health Authority values diversity within the workplace.
