The Senior Manager, Regional Pharmacies will report to the Senior Director, Pharmacy Services and is responsible for developing, managing, integrating and monitoring InnomarPharmacy locations within the assigned region.

This position requires strong leadership, strategic planning, relationship management, and customer focus skills.

The Senior Manager, Regional Pharmacies will assist the VP, Specialty Operations and the Senior Director, Pharmacy Services with implementing the strategic initiatives of both AmerisourceBergen and its clients.

Accountable for Regional Pharmacy Operations as assignedDrive operational improvements throughout the assigned regional pharmacy locationsDevelop relationships with health care providers and patients and build on current relationshipsCoach pharmacy staff on relationship development with health care providers and patientsMaintain and assist with the development, management and implementation of clinical and technical specialty pharmacy solutionsAssist in managing, auditing and supporting regional InnomarPharmacy locations and applicable network pharmaciesIn conjunction with the Senior Director, lead in the development and execution of pharmacy and company strategic business plansAnalyze and implement processes and standards within operational activities to optimize pharmacy servicesManage accounting on billing and reconciliation relative to financial planCollaborate and liaise with the Distribution, Patient Programs, Clinics and Nursing divisionsAnalyze operational data for trending, planning and efficiency purposes as requiredOversee, coach and guide the regional Pharmacy Managers in operational, relationship building and clinical tasks, including contracts, relationship development, training and proceduresWork with external and internal clients to design, build and implement new pharmacy servicesAssist in the implementation of new pharmaceutical product launches with respect to the pharmacy services across CanadaRequired to hold Pharmacy registrationUp to 30% of time required for travelling within Canada Registered PharmacistMinimum of 10 years’ experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry (or similar)Excellent knowledge of pharmacy operationsRelevant management experience to understand, design and implement relations with KOLsExperience in writing and implementing Standard Operating ProceduresAbility to develop and negotiate contracts with physiciansStrong understanding in accounting, billing and accounts receivableStrong understanding of the regulatory market with respect to Pharmacy & NursingPractice in specialty pharmacy is an assetBilingualism, French/English is an asset MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS: Advanced knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution industryStrong business and financial acumenStrong analytical and mathematical skillsStrong communication, customer service, interpersonal and time management skills ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writingEffective interpersonal and leadership skillsProven ability to organize time, set priorities and multi-task in order to meet various competing work deadlines; attention to detailAbility to consistently meet deadlinesExcellent problem-solving skills; ability to resolve issues effectively and efficientlyExcellent presentation skillsStrong proficiency in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Internet Explorer) We offer competitive total rewards compensation.
