Medical Assistant- Men’s Residential (2nd shift)

Job Purpose: As a Medical Assistant/Residential Advisor at Aspire Health Partners, your job purpose will be to provide a multitude of essential functions to effectively fulfill the duties of the position within the Program.

These functions include but are not limited to participating in the interdisciplinary team’s development of the client’s treatment plan, providing support and assistance with all activities to ensure the completion of the client’s treatment plan, effectively communicating with those involved with the treatment plan, maintaining clinical records and reports within the required timeframe, participating with residents’ in house meetings, completing required trainings and attending staff meetings.

Most importantly, all functions must be completed while maintaining high standards of ethical and professional conduct while adhering to agency policies and procedures.

BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To assist the Residential clients and staff in medication management, arranging medical appointments for the clients.

Develop plans and monitor progress related to client treatment.

Other tasks include interaction and communicating with clients, providing crisis intervention and support and providing direct hands-on skills training.

REQUIRED ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : Monitor medication and maintain accurate records to agency standards.

Review prescribed medications with residents; purpose, dosage, side effects.

Monitor all health related appointments for your caseload.

Complete all clinical documentation (assessments, treatment planning, discharge planning, reassessments, progress notes, orientation packets).

Provide direct a hands-on skills training and aid clients in developing Daily Living Skills.

Transport clients as needed.

Interact with clients, knowing, understanding and respecting their rights.

Monitor resident’s medication: refills, reactions.

Enhance job performance through continual education and participation in agency meetings and activities.

10.Adhere to agency policies and procedures, safety guidelines, business ethics and dress code Complete all shift responsibilities.

Perform other duties, as assigned.
