Memorial Health System: Registered Nurse, Inpatient Rehab

This is a Full-time position in Springfield, MO posted July 18, 2020.

The Inpatient Rehabilitation Services Registered Nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Social Services, Pastoral Care, Recreational Therapy and Neuropsychology to progress patients to home.

They will work closely with their patients to know their therapy schedule, administer medication and provide assessments.

They will also have specific training and education around transferring, dressing changes, medication and wound care.

The registered nurse is responsible for delegation, supervision, and provision of nursing care for a designated group of patients through utilization of the nursing process.

They will provide age-appropriate care and will participate in research when appropriate and incorporate research findings into evidence-based clinical practice.

In addition, they will contribute to quality improvement processes and adhere to MMC Mission, Vision, and Values, the Nursing Division Mission, Vision, and Philosophy, the ANA Code of Ethics and the Illinois Nursing Act.

Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing.

Must be able to perform difficult manipulative skills such as IV insertion and IM injections.Environmental working conditions include exposure to blood, bodily fluids and tissue, contagious diseases and/or radioactive or other potentially hazardous materials.
