The Trainer will play a crucial role in training, coaching and mentoring new Case Managers throughout their onboarding and provide ad-hoc training to existing Case Managers.

They will teach them the principles of case management, HPS’ philosophy and vision, system training and decision principles.

In addition, the Trainer will be tasked with providing ongoing assistance to existing Case Managers by providing feedback, coaching and mentorship to Case Managers Nationally.

Lastly, the Trainer, will be involved in project work related to case management, act as a subject matter expert, and provide suggestions/feedback on how Service Delivery can work more efficiently within their assigned workloads.RESPONSIBILITIES:Cultivate an accountable and responsible culture, delivering on all commitments and demonstrating to teams the importance of highly effective training, reliability and trustworthiness, while also taking a lead role in supporting the development, implementation and ongoing execution of case management principlesActs as a credible role model and applies case management principles to enable Case Managers to set and communicate expectations relating to case managementAssist the Operations Management team with training of the Case Management TeamDevelops, revamps and provides new training to all Case ManagersProvide onboarding of new hires in coordination with the Case Management teamActs and provides mentorship and coaching by teaching, showing and supporting behaviours that demonstrate coaches accountabilityCORE COMPETENCIES:The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years of Disability Case Management experience.Bilingualism (French / English) is an asset.Supervisory/mentoring and adjudication experience are a definite asset.Minimum of a bachelor’s degree.

Additional course work in rehabilitation, legislation related to disability management, helping relationship skills, mediation, human resources management, disability insurance, psychological and workplace factors in disability, management and supervision would be an asset.The incumbent has strong interpersonal and leadership skills.Excellent written and oral communication skills are required, as are excellent time management skills.Expert knowledge of the principles in Disability Case Management is required.Knowledge of legislation relating to Disability Management (Workers’ Compensation, Human Rights and Occupational Health and Safety) is required.Knowledge of disability benefits administration and adjudication is also required.Knowledge of AbilitiManage is an assetPrevious experience in coaching, training and / or mentoring is an asset *LI-SH1 Job Grade: MS4 Fulfilling work that matters Morneau Shepell is in the business of helping organizations help their people and in the process, we strive to elevate ours.
