Physician (Emergency Medicine)

Compensation: $240-250 hourly


Position Summary:

We are seeking a Louisiana licensed, Board Certified Physician with exceptional emergency department experience to join our team.  Natchitoches Regional Medical Center’s emergency department, located in West Central Louisiana, via NES Health will contract-hire a physician to provide single coverage, 12 hour shifts, to assist in seeing the departments approximate 20,000 patient visits each year.

As the Emergency Medicine Physician (ATLS, ACLS and PALS required) your chief responsibilities will include treating patients with life-threatening illnesses, establishing effective patient care plans, and referring patients to the appropriate specialists.  To excel in this highly-stressful environment, the ideal candidate should have superb communication and interpersonal abilities, with excellent judgment skills.

Natchitoches Regional Medical Center’s Emergency Room is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and serves Natchitoches, Winn, and Sabine parishes.  NRMC is equipped with 16-beds, two cardiac rooms, two trauma rooms, and 10 treatment rooms.  The emergency department is backed by the full services of the hospital with many sub-specialty services available including cardiology, pulmonary, otolaryngology, orthopedics, gynecology, obstetrics, general surgery, and more. If a patient needs diagnostic laboratory services, imaging, or other tests and procedure, the ED team will work with Associates throughout the hospital to coordinate care.



  • United States Citizenship
  • Degree of Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (MD/DO)
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • Completion of accredited residency training
  • Current, full and unrestricted license to practice in Louisiana
  • Minimum of 1 year relevant work experience as EM Physician
  • DEA (controlled substance)
