Registered Nurse – RN

This is a Contract position in Hillsborough, NJ posted June 29, 2020.

Temporary Assistant Director of Nursing position (maternity leave)Valid NJ RN license requiredSummary:Responsible for overall operation of the Assisted Living department. Coordinates efforts of all Assisted Living staff, including RA’s, LPN’s and any other Assisted Living department personnel. Ensures quality care for entire facility.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include, but are not limited to:* Has direct authority over Assisted Living staff and any other assigned Assisted Living department personnel.* Serve as liaison with Administrator and physicians.* Serve as Assisted Living supervisor 5 days per week and every other weekend and designate a supervisor for the hours absent from the facility, to ensure 24 hour supervision of the Assisted Living department at all times.* Responsible for assuring budgetary compliance for department on both staffing and supplies.* Make rounds of Assisted Living units on daily basis.* Make rounds of Assisted Living units, periodically on all three shifts.* Have regular consultation with Administrator.* Inform Administrator of any problems (current or potential) including resident care concerns, personnel concerns or any problem that affects operation of facility.* Develop necessary policies and procedures for Assisted Living department subject to administrative approval.* Attend committee meetings as necessary.* Hold regular meetings with Assisted Living department personnel.* Notify Administrator of all changes and disciplinary actions in writing.* Assure complete and accurate resident files.* Assure governmental, Department of Public Welfare, and facility requirements are met through periodic audit.* Other duties as assignedSupervisory Responsibilites:* LPN Nurses* Senior Resident Care Aides* Resident AidesQUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
