– TNCC Certification $5,000 Sign on Bonus Available Attention all Experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurses We are currently seeking highly motivated, enthusiastic experienced RN’s to join our Level II Trauma Center .

South Nassau Communities Hospital is the area’s leading center of specialized care for both emergency and urgent care, including an impressive number of medical conditions.

We’re one of the few hospitals in New York with an Emergency Department staffed by a team of physicians who are board-certified and residency-trained in the specialized field of emergency medicine.

We offer emergency services, to care for people with a range of conditions in two facilities with an emphasis on a stress-free and comfortable experience for our patients.

Position Requirements: Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Professional Nursing (Baccalaureate Degree in nursing preferred).

Requires NYS RN License, AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.

Must have current Emergency Department RN experience.

Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.

Must demonstrate working knowledge of Electronic Medical Record Systems (EMR).

Position Responsibilities: The professional registered nurse (RN) assumes responsibility for the nursing care provided to a selected number of patients.

Consideration is given to the patient’s stage of development according to the life cycle.

The scope of practice includes diagnosing and treating human responses to actual or potential health problems through such services as case-finding, health teaching, health counseling and provision of care supportive to or restorative of life and well-being.
