Employees may also perform other duties as assigned.Employees must abide by all Joint Commission requirements including, but not limited to, sensitivity to cultural diversity, patient care, patients” rights and ethical treatment, safety and security of physical environments, emergency management, teamwork, respect for others, participation in ongoing education and training, communication and adherence to safety and quality programs, sustaining compliance with National Patient Safety Goals, and licensure and health screenings.Oversees standard work being created in regards to Apheresis clinical trials and cellular therapy.Develops, implements and monitors compliance with standard operating procedures covering all critical aspects of the Apheresis Program.Generates recommendations to address deficiencies in compliance with applicable regulations.Serves as the main SHC contact for all regulatory surveys.Serves as the educator for new staff and directs training for all new and current employees.Ensures that all equipment maintenance and repairs are current and ongoing, working with Biomedical Engineering to ensure equipment maintenance is current and repairs are carried out in a timely manner.Monitors, audits and updates regulatory requirements, including but not limited to Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP).Serves as point person for transitioning paper based orders to EPIC.Equal Opportunity Employer Stanford Health Care (SHC) strongly values diversity and is committed to equal opportunity and non-discrimination in all of its policies and practices, including the area of employment.
